    Coax cable and TV hookup
My coax cable to my TV is not working wile it is grounded.

If I just touch the cable to the input on the TV it will get the signal, however once I start to screw the cable on I loose the connection. I also get the same problem wile using an adapter to hook two wires together. If I just touch the ends of the wires together will get a signal. If I use the adapter and screw the wires onto it I loose the signal.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

There is a number of resons for this, some more difficult to find.

    Let's take the obvious ones:

TV or some piece of equipment connctec to the COAX is plugged into an outlet with the wrong polarity.

A polorized plug on a TV anywhere was replaced with a non-polorized one.

    More serious issues.

Without a meter and/or outlet tester this will be difficult to troubleshoot.

I would start at input, then first splitter, and all outs. Is it happening to one TV in One Location? I would check electrical as suggested by Kiss, Problem should be located and corrected. A DC Block from RadioShack may help?
