Good for you for trying to get a handle on this issue at an early age. I have struggled with my weight all my life and I know it can be very discouraging. Don't ever give up the hope though. I'm sorry that you have to deal with this at such a young age. I'm sitting here with my 12 year old that has never had to worry about her weight, yet in our crazy society, she still can think her tummy isn't flat enough. Just remember that you are more than what your outside looks like. But, if I was you, (and it's good advice for anyone)... find physical activities that you actually enjoy, like riding your bike, swimming, roller blading or just plain old walking. I know it is hard and I hope you know I'll be routing for your success. Don't get too hung up on the number on the scales. I just got on today and thought "ughhh". What is most important is how you feel. So get out there and start moving. You can do it.
-stay away from fast food(if your out and hungry than get a salad)
-walk or bike wherever you can
-instead of snacking on junk food try fruits and veggies
-dont stay inside all day go out and do something(even walking around the mall burns calories)
-do crunches and push ups and stuff at home(the more muscle you have the more calories you burn)
-gradually cut down on fatty foods(don't change your diet all at once, your body won't be used to it)
-eat breakfast
-drink at least 8 glasses of water a day
-have a snack at least every couple hours to keep your metabolism working
-and remember that losing weight takes time so don't be going on the scale every day instead try checking your weight every week and don't be upset if you don't see results right away
hope this helps =)
Keep a food journal. Write down everything you eat each day. It'll keep you from eating so much.
Get a gym membership if you can and sign up for a class. Or make up a scheldule for working out. It's easier when you have a time set up. Bring a workout buddy!
Eat in portions. Equal amounts of meats, vegies, etc.
Drink as much water as you can.
