I have a HUSKEE 42" deck lawn mower that was given to me a while back. About three to four months ago the transmission seemed to be slipping at higher RPMs. Then the other day I went to pull it out of the garage and it would not move forward after placing in forward gear, it will go into reverse gear and move. I checked the linkage to see if it was off or misaligned but all seems good. Do HUSKEE transmission/Axles have issues with going out or do I have an isolated issue? Is there a way to troubleshoot the problem before replacing the Transaxle?

If the linkage is all there and working, the problem will be inside the transmission. Internal trans parts may be available depending on which transmission it is. Contact MTD with model and serial number of tractor to get parts.
