    94 s10 blazer won't start
When I was at the ATM tonight my blazer died for no reason and no it won't start. The fuel pump was replace two years ago and the start is 6 months old so I can't think why it won't start, when I try it sound like its starting normal but it won't fire up. Any ideas? Also I heard it could be the EGR Value which it had problems in the past

. Check all under-dash and under-hood fuses with a test light or multimeter.

. Check for spark. If there's no spark, focus on the Ignition Control Module and coil.

I pulled out the fuses under the dash and they were good, I don't think my blazer has under hood fuses and I tried putting a little bit of gas in the engine and it didn't start and my dad said its not sparking and it could be hundreds of things maybe wrong. Lucky for me a autozone is across the street from were the truck is broke down but the police want the truck gone today

AutoZone can test the Ignition Control Module for free. Every modern-day vehicle I have seen has both an under-hood fuse box and an under-dash fuse box. In the future, here's how to properly test fuses:

I seen a under-hood fuse box on my friends 97 tracer and I haven't seen anything like it under my hood unless it being covered. I'll go look here in a bit when I go back to were its broke down

The Ignition Control Module was good, the only error the engine told them was my EGR Value was bad but that shouldn't keep it from starting and we found that my coil was not working to full power so I replace that but it still won't start

    . Test for spark.

. Test for fuel. Also, ensure fuel filter has been recently changed.

. Check ignition switch for wear, pitting, and melting.

. Disconnect the negative battery cable for 15 seconds, to force the ECU to relearn everything. Record any radio codes first.

I'll try disconnecting the negative battery, I'm not for sure what radio codes are but mine probably won't do it because I have a after market cd player. My dads is having it towed to a auto place next door to his house and they owe him money for working on the owners house so there going to take a look at it

I went and checked on my car at the shop and the guy said the Ignition Control Module was bad so I had it in the first place but autozone said it was fine so my car will be done here in a bit thanks for all the help

I'm not surprised. Personally, I'm not a big fan of bench testing ICMs and coils. When these problematic components get 10 years or 120,000 miles on them, replace them or be willing to live with the risk. I've seen bench testing fail on ICMs too many times, which are very sophisticated components. Most people want to save a buck, however. Over time, heat and electron migration destroys ICMs.

I just got the car back and they put on my old coil and said it was still good which I didn't like them doing that but my dad is the one paying the bill so I couldn't say anything

At least you now have a new ICM.
