Can't remember who starred in this movie, but it involved an older actor who played an FBI or some authority figure and he decided to go bad in his last days and try to pull the robbery of the ages, maybe like Fort Knox or a Brinx truck or something like that.

The movie has to be at least 30 years old. The main guy looks like he has pulled off the heist until the very end and he gets found out. I keep thinking it has to do with Fort Knox gold, but not sure. I wish for anything I could remember the main star. I was thinking Henry Fonda but he has done no such movie. It was a really good flick that kept you through the entire plot.
