Is my belly button ring infected ?
When I was 13 I had lost the top ball of my belly ring so I put an eraser on the top of it so the ring wouldn't fall off and I went to a store the next day and bought a brand new belly ring but the piercer who peirced my belly ring told me I could change my belly ring after a month . So stupid me ended up buying a very long and heavy belly ringed and it dragged my whole until it came off completley . So I am now fourteen and in April I got it pierced again and when I got it done in April the amount of skin holding the ring was quite large and it shrunk so now there's a little bit of skin . Is that normal ? And there's puss coming out of it . I clean it with bactine sometimes and I'm usually wearing kind of tight shirts . I got in a pool with clorine ; did that make it worse ? It looks the same it did before I got inside of the pool.. My belly ring irratates me only sometimes . I put salt water on it every time I got to the beach . Is it infected ? If so what do I do ? Pleaseee help I don't want to go and get it pierced again for the 3rd time!

Puss, I'd say it's infected. What can you do? Go the doctor, it's an infection, you need to be treated.

Clean it with peroxide or antibacterial soup and DO NOT touch it.. hands are the best place for germs to hide.

Trust me, I have 8 percings.

Its rejecting the piercing. Go back and have them look at it. I would take it out but if there is pus, I remember hearing not to take it out.

Before you get another piercing you need to be willing to follow instructions. You weren't supposed to go into a pool.

Your body is rejecting the piercing. You could go and have it looked at, but really, some people's bodies just reject piercings. My mom had her bellybutton pierced, it rejected it, she waited a year, pierced again, and it rejected it again.

Also, it's best to just take out the jewelry if your body is pushing it out, because it will scar more if it completely pushes it out versus just taking it out.

Don't touch it, and wear a simple ring until FULLY healed (can be over a year for some people).
