Within the last month I have occasionally experienced chirping in my water pipes. I was finally able to track down the source of the chirping to what I believe is the water pressure regulator just above the main water cutoff valve. The device has a cone shape with a nut/bolt coming out of the end of the cone. Does anyone know what is causing the cirping noise and what can I do to repair it?
I could be a wise a$$ and advice you to feed those "chirping pipes" some birdseed and keep them happy but there are a few things you could try first.Quote:
