Toner made blond streaks too dark
I had my light brown hair streaked with blond highlights and caramel lowlights, and then a toner (the first time toner was used) was applied to "soften" the look. However, it now is too dark overall, and I'd prefer to have the lighter, blond streaks back. Is my only option to go back for more blond highlights? Can I try using really hot water to wash my hair and diminish the toner's effects? Any suggestions are appreciated.

I am a stylist... Put a tablespoon of baking soda in your shampoo and leaave it on for 5 or 10 minutes and it will slowly and safely remove the toner and lighten up. Do not get more highlights or try to apply a color yourself because the bleached hair will break off if you do. Also, chlorine strips out color , so go swimming at your local public swimming pool a few times and that will help too!

Thank you very much! I will try the baking soda (I love a non-toxic solution!)
