    Resizing pictures
I am wanting to resize some pictures and not sure how to do it.

I want the photo to be 2inches wide and 3 inches tall

Also want to make another photo 1-1/2 inches by 2 1/2 inches

But don't know how to put this in pixels or megapixels ,

Can anyone help, and also does anyone know of a free site so I can do this,

Trying to make photos to print to trace and copy onto eggs for egg art..

    Thanks, angie

I recommend using a free software called Irfanview.

This will open all kinds of images. Once you open the image by going to File>Open, you can then resize it by going to Image>Resize or hitting Ctrl+R. You should see an option on the left that allows you to "Set new size". You also have three radio buttons where you can choose to make the size measurements in pixels, cm or inches. Choose inches and enter the appropriate size #s.

    Now try printing it out.

Irfanview was exactly what I was going to recommend! It's free and very easy to use! I use it all of the time in order to place images on this site.

Another free program to use would be Pixia. It's small, but loaded with lots of stuff that you can do in order to edit images. I haven't used it as much because it has so much stuff that you can do with it. But, it is free. It just takes more practice to use it than Irfanview. But, at the same time, it does have much more functionality than Irfanview. For most practical purposes though, I would recommend Irfanview.

It is available on the following link.
