    Ordered from Ikea?
Im moving very soon and have been looking at some furniture on Ikea's website.

I just want to know if anyone has ordered from them?
The prices are amazing but is the furniture just as great? Sturdy? Durable? Picture Perfect?

A lot of it is particle board, I've found that the metal stuff is rather sturdy though. Their couches are great... Where you live, is there a store near you? If so, I would suggest going in and looking at the stuff in person.

We bought some for storing supplies at the library where I work. The cabinet doors didn't fit together well. Be careful.

There's no store here so Im really relying on the web site's presentation.
Im looking to order an armchair and tables for the living room and bedroom.

I like this chair in white:
IKEA | Fabric sofas & armchairs | Armchairs | EKTORP TULLSTA | Chair

Im not to sure about how these will look in person:
IKEA | Coffee & side tables | Side tables | IVÅS | Side table
IKEA | Coffee & side tables | Coffee tables | IVÅS | Coffee table
IKEA | Around the bed | Bedside tables | HEMNES | Bedside table
IKEA | Around the bed | Bedside tables | HEMNES | Bedside table

Are there any other (online) stores with great furniture?

Im a college student so I want to keep it simple and inexpensive, I don't expect to keep this furniture when I graduate Grad school (few yrs. From now) and move but just in case I'd like to have decent things.

They have a major store in Atlanta and their items have a place.

They are much larger in Europe where culture is a lot different as for as funiture and size of apartments. Most of their items are easy to take apart and move, even on the top of a car or in a trunk, so large moving trucks are not needed, They also have special items that help use small spaces for storage.

For the price you get quality, you are not going to get a 3000 dollar sofa for 400 dollars, you get a 400 dolar sofa, but you get a good 400 dollar one

Ikea is Ikea you get what you pay for as chuck said, it serves its purpose and does it well I have bookcases that are still going strong 8 years on not a wobble to them, there furniture like chairs and sofas are quite useful for the pure fact you can buy replacement covers if needed great if you're a family like us with two messy kids.
They do have an excellent customer service here in the uk though where if something isn't right or it is in anyway faulty they replace or refund they will also send out spare parts if a bolts missing.
All in all its flat pack heaven if you want something as a stop gap and don't want to spend a fourtune.
    Good luck
