How many of you are in a long-distance relationship and it's WORKING? I have heard plently of stories of why they fail... but that's not what I'm asking. :)

While I am not in one personally, I have 2 good friends who are currently doing it(NJ and California) and while it does strain them quite a bit, the trick is communication and trust. If you have that in a relationship it is an incredibly strong bond that is extremely hard to break. The reason most long distance relationships fail is due to lack of trust in one of the persons. They are really hard work, but who said good things come when things are easy anyway?
That is extremely good to hear ! Especially the part where you said that good things don't always come when things are easy. That is oh so true. Plus, NJ to California is quite the space between... so I applaud them for handling it so well!
For my friend worked for 3 years! After that they brok up. Myself only lasts 9 months.
Redrose is this in reference to the guy that moved that you went on a date with? Did he get back to you and say he wants to date? If so congrats!
I did it for almost 3 years. PA and CA.
