    Greetings,

I found an amazing silver necklace metal detecting on the beach with the initials R A on the clasp, photos attached. It would be great to know the something about the silversmith who made it.

I found two American Indian artists that used the initials "RA" in hallmarking their jewelry. 1) Rita Abeita, Navajo, piecework silversmith. Hallmark: Stamped initial in 1/16 Gothic print.
    2) Ray Adakai, Navaho, Repousse' work. Hallmark: Stamped initials in 1/16 Gothic print.
SOURCE: "Hallmarks of the Southwest" by Barton Wright.
Hope this helps narrow it down. Good luck.

Did you ever find out who RA is? I have a necklace that is almost the same. Checked out Native American markings but that didn't seem to match. I have searched & searched but no luck.
