Our AC unit will only cool to certain temperatures - why?
    Hello experts!

We have a newer AC unit and it has never given us any trouble. We have always set it to 21 degrees and it cycles itself properly. This year it brings the temperature down to 21 but doesn't kick out like it should... it just keeps running continually even though the correct temperature has been attained in the house. It works properly if we bump it up to 22 degrees but we can't get the house any cooler than that. We had a repair man come out and he said the 'gas' was good in the unit and he didn't know what the problem was. Any simple solutions?

It could be a problem in the thermostat. Try this, find a thermometer, put it in the return grill, let it sit for a few minutes, next, install it into a supply register, let us know what the diffrence is. Also, what is the outdoor temp.
