Chances are you don't have the driver for your sound card installed. So...
- Check your disks that came with the PC - see if you have one for your sound card.
- If you know your sound card make & model, go to the manufacturers website and look for a support section. They often have driver downloads in there.
- Some PC manufacturers have download areas where you can download drivers for their PC models. You might also want to try there.

First, never EVER pay for drivers - you shouldn't have to.Quote:
I have tried all that...I have a Nvidia/Phoenix Technologies Motherboard which
is listed as a AWRDACPI ..... there are so many versions...i am having a prob
getting the right driver without paying a boatload for it....anyother
suggestions? The audio jack is built into the motherboard...not separate.
Thank you
Anyway, can you tell us what make of PC you have? Also if it's a model number that will help.
Also have you tried looking for drivers at:
www.nvidia.com
www.driverguide.com
I need, if posible, drivers for motherboard AWRDACPI( A sis motherboard)
