    Mobil home and bankruptcy
    I am considering bankrupcty chapter7 - I have a mobil home on rented land. I want to keep my home. What do I have to do to keep it.

    You have to move themobile home somewhere else, but, there is no reason you can't still rent the land with your home still on it. Bankruptcy doesn't take your living arrangements way from you, they do realize you need a roof over your head.

    That's whay I meant to ask. I can keep the mobil home and my rented land. Correct

    You have to rent somewhere and the court allows you that. So yes,but do you own the mobile home ?

    Depending on the value of the home, and other debts, yes normally you can re-affirm the debt on the home and keep it. A bankrutpcy attorney will have to review all the debts to be sure. But in general yes you can keep the home as long as you can afford to do so
