I am curious to know more about this religion. Have been reading a few different websites online, but that has just let me confused. Anyone out there who is a liberal quaker or has a good understanding of what they believe?

If anyone is out there... please let me know, I have a few questions.

I tried looking it up but got probably equally confused.
The sites used so many names like Unitarian and Religious Society of Friends I am not even sure I know what a traditional Quaker is any more.

I attended a college run by liberal quakers. They are Christians. They do not accept any way but their own. If you do not agree with one or more of their beliefs, you are going to their hell for your sins.

Your link is an interesting basic but it does not say WHAT they believe that is different to the traditional Quakers. It doesn't get into the various liberal quaker off shoots and their beliefs and the distinctions between them where the confusion sets in.

Your link is 101 it doesn't cover their beliefs on many things or clear up what is confusing between the differing Liberal Quaker beliefs. Example simoneaugie stated that they believe anybody that does not agree with what they believe is going to hell and on several of the sites I looked up it said Few liberal Quakers believe in direct reward and punishment, heaven and hell, or second coming of Christ. The primary focus is non-dogmatic -- God is love, love is eternal, and our actions in life should reflect love for all of humanity. They believe ultimately that all will be saved.

What are their doctrines?
Do they believe the Church over the Bible, or Jesus?
What do they believe about after life?
What do they believe about secular, traditions, rituals, doctrines?
WHAT do they believe?

If you look at more than one site there are many that conflict.
Like I said your site is good but NOT in depth with their beliefs and it would be helpful if Margog gives more specific examples of what she wants to know about them.

Credo.. if anyone was interested in your athiestic opinion they would have asked a question on another forum. Magog is interested to know more about religion, you CLAIM you are not religious (despite the fact that you are part of the Humanistic religious movement) and yet you are on every last religious discussion.

Since I came to AMHD I have stated clearly that there is objective supporting evidence for a super fast expansion of space-time very early in the process that was at the basis of the origin of our universe. A process popularly known as the Big Bang.

I also stated clearly that there is objective supporting evidence for the process of evolution, a Scientific Theory that describes the development from the first living cell to all that lives today.

Neither process is 100% fully supported. None on them ever will receive 100% full supporting coverage. Impossible after such a long long time.
But both have reliable scientific evidence at their side. And that can't be stated from any format of religion. Religious claims do not have any objective supporting evidence at their side !

I guess your country is different with schooling because here you can have a degree and go on to have a higher degree that does not invalidate your lower degree.
Just because you did not ask for clarification if it was a masters degree does not make her a liar and anybody here can see that.

That's like calling J_9 a liar because she has a nursing degree but it isn't THE highest nursing degree there is.

I had a neighbor that told me about... reading about it, it really does seem to be a nonjudgemental religion, which is something that I liked. They seem to accept everyone and look out for the mental health of their members.

I was taken to church up until I stopped going at about 14. In my early adult years I searched and searched for a faith or religion that I could join... I thought I should belong, because that is just the way it is, but I never found one that I was 100 percent comfortable with.

I gave up the search and figured that if there was really a God he/she would understand that all of the studying and searching that I have done was not because I did not want to believe is was just that I couldn't wrap my mind around it... of course it would be much easier if I could. I don't not believe, or believe I just don't know what to make of it and I'm 45 so it ain't looking good as far as me finding one. Because you talk to some wonderful religious people and they have such strong convictions and examples. Then I see all of the turmoil in the world and the hate in some of the religions and I say how can it be... Good luck margog

MY boyfriend sort of follows Rastafri basically, which I think is really neat except they seem to 'look more to the creation than the creator' which the Bible says not to do. But they have an outlook on life that is really attractive -sort of like music soothes the soul.
