    Well failure due to dynamite?
I have a shallow (18') well that produced an abdundance of water. Recently, loggers in the area apparently used dynamite in their operation, causing the ground to shake. My well is no longer producing water. I have a new home and no water. Does anyone know of any information or reports that may be helpful to me in approaching the timber company? I do believe that their operation impacted my water system. Thanks.

The efects of mining have been known to dusrupt underground faults and aquifers' flows to disrupt the source of people's wells. It's not always due to the mine itself but the vibrations from drilling or blasting. So I guess it's possible the blasts could have rechanneled your water source. I can't give you a source, but you might try checking EPA or Bureau of Mines for info on such problems, or even US Geological Survey for your area to indicate where your water came from.
