I put in an outside BBQ with a sink. When I turn on the water to the outside then come inside and turn on a faucet, I hear a vibration sound. It stops when the water is turned off inside. The sound also comes on when the water outside is turned off and I turn on a faucet inside or flush a toilet.
Sounds like a loose washer in a valve some where. Did this start after installing the sink outside. Does the new line have a stop valve in it?

Yes. Try feeling pipe in that area. If you feel vibration, turn off water, remove stem of stop valve and tighten washer. If that doesn't stop noise look for another valve, it could be just about anywhere.

I am just learning how to use the Ask Me Help Desk. I am not sure if you saw my answer to your response. This sink has been installed before outside and we had no problems with it. When we moved the sink to the other side of the outside kitchen and reinstalled it, that's when the noise started. Is the valve you are talking about a on/off valve. I do have one of those.
Yes I am speaking of any for the valves with which you turn water on or off. If you have a loose washer in a valve, moving water can cause it to vibrate. This valve can be almost anywhere in the system. It can be the stop valves under the sink or it can ce a valve that you use to shut off the water of a line branching off to a certain area. In trying to locate it you usually try to determine hot or cold or both? When does it occur and when does it not occur? Then you feel the pipes to see if you can feel the vibration. Noise can travel through the pipes quite readily and can be deceiving as to its source. You also consider what changes have been made to the piping.
All of these things you have done. To me it sounds like it is a valve in the line to the outside sink. It could however, be anywhere. Since you said that it occurs when the outside faucet is turned off and water is used inside the house or a toilet is flushed it could be the main shut off valve where the water comes into the house. Life has a way of throwing curve balls. It may have nothing to do with the installation of the outside sink.
You set up the vibration and go around feeling the pipes. If you can't locate the source shut off the water and go around removing the stems from each valve and insure that the washer is tight. You just tighten each washer screw and do not rely on appearance. Of course to check the main valve you have to shut off the water to the house at the street.
If you have a pressure reducing valve it could also be that. If you suspect the PRV try changing its setting slightly to see if there is any change.
If you do not find a loose washer you have to consider if it could be something in the pipes. If you have copper pipes it could be solder that ran inside the pipes while plumbing and has now moved to some point where it is vibrating from the water flow. This does not usually cause vibration, it more often causes a blockage at a valve. Start looking and post back what you find.
