Hello Everyone!

I am a healthy normal 23 year old and I just had a question about people's sexual peaks during the day..

I notice that my sexual desires are highest in the afternoon.. sometimes I get so turned on with thoughts of me and my boyfriend being together, that it's hard to concentrate at work and I just want to go to his house and.. you know.. :p

Is that normal with a lot of people during this time of day? If so why is it then? Or is that just how I am? Sex and how it affects people is really interesting to me and I grew up in a mormon family that said sex is bad and shouldn't be done until married.. I'm thinking I don't believe that anymore.. I have a very healthy sexual appetite, and I'm finally not ashamed of it anymore!

Well, I agree you shouldn't have sex until marriage. And there have been studies done to tell how many times a day a man or woman thinks about sex. The numbers are really high.

I will agree it is always best to wait till marriage, but after that, the when you have it, is up to mutual consent. One has to remember that we should not be controlled by our lust, but control it and allow it to have a proper outlet.

I think that sounds sort of right for me, too, from my sexually active days.

The really most sensual time is during and after a day at the beach... the sun, rubbing on suntan lotion, half-naked bodies, cool water, accidentally touching one's nipple when adjusting the swimsuit... orgasms barely containable, just waiting to be released!

A lazy evening is good, relaxing, enjoying... just lolling around.

I love the lazy evenings.. but you know what I love most? The lazy days!! Sleeping in and rolling around in bed all day! I love the feel of the cool sheets, the comfort, the love the passion, the yummy junk food that you eat in bed.. I don't get much a chance to do that.. but when I do, there's nothing like it!!

Afternoon sex is the best sex, until you have kids. ;)

Look at it from a physical standpoint, you work all day, you go home, make dinner, eat, maybe pay some bills or watch TV, you're exhausted. You may want to have sex, but you're too tired to have really good sex.

Saturday afternoon, sleep in, roll over and find you lover staring at you in that "way". Well, you're rested, comfortable, the furthest thing from your mind is work and bills, so sex is a great idea and better because you're both relaxed.

When you're in your office thinking about him, it's probably the lazy Saturday afternoons that pop in your head the most, not the last thing before bed weekday sex. :)

When you have kids it will change in to the "anytime I can get it" sex. ;)

I heard, don't remember when or where, that sexual receptivity is closely tied in to body temperature. Men are warmest in the morning and women are warmer in the evening...

I think it's best to wait until marriage, but there's worse things you can do, God isn't going to condemn you to Hell for having pre-marital sex, I don't think (just my honest opinion), I mean, he's got a lot worse problems to deal with.. Anyway, I too am often most aroused in the late afternoons, but remember if you do decide to have sex, use a condom for diseases and to prevent pregnancy, and you may want to think about getting on the pill.

The Bible was written a long time ago, and has been translated and re-translated many many times. When it was written, it was improper to have sex before marriage, but times have changed. God is running the whole universe. He won't point a finger at you and say "you bad girl! Naughty naughty!" I honestly believe God just wants us to be happy.

And yes, the times of sexual arousal vary. Some men want it early, some late, and some in the middle of the day. Same goes for us girlies. And as for having a healthy sexual appetite - GREAT! So long as you aren't running wild with loads of guys, then it is perfectly natural, healthy, and young. Sex will keep you young, especially with your true love. :)

I'm not sure there is any perfect "normal" here.

Hormones can fluctuate throughout the day. For ex, testosterone is commonly highest in the morning, and testosterone plays into libido for both men and women, but obviously that isn't all there is concerning desire for sex.

My partner is most interested in the early AM. Her body is rested, her mind is relaxed, and her body is responsive to sensual touch. At night she is tired, her mind is still busy with the noise of the day, and her body is overly sensitized. Early morning is best for her physical and mental state.

In the opposite, generally speaking. I love sex at night after a shower. Morning breath icks me out. I don't need a dark room, but I like the darkness outside my window. For me, its most likely a mental drive at night. I'm just wired like that. I could be exhausted and sex would still be a great end to a long day.

So we "solve" this mostly by my changing my actions... I can wake up at 4:30 if that's the best time to catch her primed. And if I'm initiating sex at night, she knows its not to irritate her... that I'm simply amped and a little attention can go a long way. I don't push when I'm most amped all the time, but shell "make up for it" the next morning if she knows I was interested the night before. And then sometimes she's absolutely fine fighting off sleep if I am clearly wanting her attention.

As for midday sex, we've both enjoyed this... maybe a part of it is the "getting away with something" factor? Everybody else is getting lunch and we are getting something else.

So you are normal in that you have your own "optimal times"... not every partner will necessarily share those times, but even when you are complete opposites, as my partner and I almost are concerning time of day, you can find some middle ground that keeps both partners feeling satiated.

Some people are morning people... some are evening people and some people like it mid-day. Make the most out of whatever both of you can come to an agreement with... like doing it different times of the day.

No offense but this thread gave me a chuckle. I was attracted by the subject trying to figure out what a sexual PEEK in the afternoon was about. I was imagining anything from a nooner to only watching porn in the PM.

Then I read the text and it made more sense.

Good point... :D Lot of people like a peek whenever they get a chance (guys anyway)...

Even if its not when they are at their daily peak.

A good peek is worth one afternoon's peak? :D

Hahah that's hilarious! I totally spelt it wrong in the title.. peek versus peak, lol :D

I'm usually too tired in the evenings cause of the job I have... I get worn out during the day. I am truly a morning person, while hubby is whenever he can get it. :)
