    Gas Oven Not Igniting
I have about a 2 year old Frigidaire Gas Oven. The top burners work fine, but when you set the oven to bake, you hear the electric igniter kick in but nothing more. I have made sure as the manual says that the clock is set and the little manual gas switch is set. Any other suggestions out there before I pay for someone to come look at this. I didn't pay for any extended warranty. When I pulled it out to unplug an plug back in and to check the gas switch I did notice an overpowering gas smell, but the range is a slide in between two cabinets, and when it was installed, we had the same smell, and the worker said that it was because the gas lines came from underneath the house and it was the way that the fumes escaped?? :) It sort of made since.. when the oven is over the whole.. they go down, when the oven isn't they come up.. so anyway, suggestions anyone?

I think in the interest of safety, you should pay a service tech to check this out.

You may be able to call your gas company and they will come out for free to check for leaks. Note that if you have a leak, they generally won't fix it, but just shut the gas off to your house!

    That's my 2 cents anyway,
