What is your video card? Is it listed on FEARs support forum as a supported card?

I think my vid card is a Radeon 300X. Im guessin that the hi graphics in F.E.A.R. burnt it out.

GO to this website and select FEAR from the list, run the compatibility test. You will have to let it install a little ActiveX program to complete the test. This will tell you difinitively.

    Can You RUN It?

Not likely, an application does not 'burn-out' a card. Try re-installing the latest drivers for the card. Can you play any other recent 3D games?

Ok try to reinstalling the drivers for that card. It's possible that your card has suffered some component failure, better hope it's still on warranty or you're in shopping mode.

I understand. But to engage in any hobby fully you have to have the right equipment and in working order. Who wants to try mountain-climbing with old ropes? Not me. Gaming is the same way. New games means up-to-date video.

    It is what it is.

Your video card needs upgrading. If it worked before you may have damaged it from overwork. Installing an adequately powered replacement should keep the problem from recurring and enhance your enjoyment of all future games.
