I Had Dual Booting With Windows98se (c Drive) & Windows Xp (d Drive) . I Removed Xp By Formatting D Drive. How Do I Remove The Shortcut At Booting Initially
There is a hidden file in the root directory named msdos.sys. You can open this file by opening a command prompt and typeing EDIT MSDOS.SYS
In that file should be a parameter for bootmenu, it should be changed to 0.
For more details lookup MSDOS.SYS at support.microsoft.com
I think you can go into msconfig and the boot.ini tab and delete the string with win xp as a operating system and make the 98 the default OS..
