What if residence visa is not cancelled?
My friend left her previous company about 1 year ago and found a new job. Her previous sponsor agreed to cancel her visa but, did not do so. For a long time since then she tried contacting him but to no avail. While working for the new company she was still retaining her previous visa which was illegal. Her visa is now expiring in Aug'08 and she still wishes to cancel it. However, there is still no trace of her old sponsor and she's unable to contact him. Furthermore she does not have a labour card which was kept by her previous company. She is at a lost as who can help her cancel the visa. Right now she wants to leave the country for a few months because of this but is afraid she will not be able to enter UAE again because of this situation. What would be the impact for her if the visa is not cancelled at the time of expiry? Will it be automatically cancelled by immigration? Will she be blacklisted from coming in again. Appreciate if you can advise on this.

    Thanks
    Seby
