    Please analyse my website
    Hello Guys,
Could you please visit my website www.FreeInfoSeminars.com and suggest me some modifications.
As a first time visitor, how do you feel? Do you think you are able to find all the info that you need?
Do you get an idea what we have to offer in the first few seconds when you visit our site? If not, please recommend any changes that could improve the site.

We are bringing in national speakers and organizing free tele seminars about various Real Estate related topics.
What time would you recommend to start the tele seminars? We are starting them at 9pm EST and the seminar is about 90 minutes. In the last seminar, we found that many people left the conference in between, though the speaker was great.
We wanted to start at 9pm as most of our clients are in eastern zone and thought that they would have free cell phone minutes after 9pm.
Can you guys suggest a good time to start?
Should I start early and let people pay for long distance or should I start at 9pm and lose people who go to sleep before the seminar is over.

    Your feedback is greatly appreciated
    Thanks
    SR

To busy, did not like the pop up that came up as soon as I loged on, did not even get to read anything on the site before it poped up.

The box on the right was a rolling notice, and distracted from reading the page.

And I really did not care for the font with color, with poorer eye sight I had some trouble reading it

I agree with Fr Chuck. The pop up that follows you around is so annoying.

I couldn't find a close box on it.

The website looks way too crowded, too "busy"

That pop up box that I can't get rid of drives me nuts

    Thanks for your feedback,
We have pushed the pop-up window to the extreme left. Please let me know if it is still annoying. Let me know if there is anything that needs to be changed
    Thanks

My turn. I'm going to be real picky...

First, ditch that popup. The stuff in it is important information. Most people don't pay any attention to popups and look for the close button straight away. Also at the moment it's over the navigation frame, stopping you from accessing things there.

The popup also didn't look right in Firefox. Some of the text was cut off.

I don't like all the different fonts. I would have preferred keeping things consistent throughout the page.

At one time (can't remember when/where) the mouse over effects on the navigation text didn't work well at all for me. The text flickered between orange and white as I moved the mouse.

The "Add to our mailing list" text boxes aren't lined up.

Add some text to the alt attributes on your images.

    And that'll do for me.

Looks like a stock template, like another dodgy site that you're trying to promote. Try adding full contact info (several email addresses, tech support, admin, etc.), the names and bio of the main executives, and the full street address of your business.

Ditto. Very busy and nuke the pop-up.

You're just trying to do too much on the homepage. Clean it up so that the key stuff jumps out at the user on the homepage, and use links to go to the other stuff on the left... and maybe links to the various types of seminars.

And widen it so you have more width instead of having a long page.

    I agree.

The pop up is still annoying as hell. If you want to keep it, stick a close button so people have the option of closing it.

Your homepage is way too cluttered... way too much information.

too much information = information overload = unreadability = ineffective

    Popup sucks

Rest is OK... maybe too much info, but not the worst I've seen

There is one - but it's a small text link. Bottom left corner.

    Still ditch it though!

I would say you need only the basic interest info on main page, have additional pages with more info and obvous buttoms to get to them.

No pop up what so ever, I normally leave any site fast that uses a pop up.
It is a very bad selling idea for a good product or service,

Next yes on the real address, I have read so many sites with vague info and no physcial contact info, I would not hit one of their "links" for anything, since you don't know what you could unload on your system.

Basic in sales and adverstising, keep it simiple

    Thanks for all your suggestions.
I knew people don't like popups but I never imagined people hated them so much... taking all your suggestions into consideration, we have removed the popup. We also want to remove the flash stuff soon.
Please let me know if you guys have any other recommendations.
    Thanks
