You are a tenant. He must first give you a 30 day written notice to vacate. Then if you don't go, he must evict you according to your states landlord tenant law.
However, in the real world you probably don't want to live there any longer than you have to anyway. If he tries to put you out before he's taken the legal steps he's required to, the cops'll stop him from doing so.
I would let him know that you'll find something as soon as you can, but that you (and the cops) will NOT let him put you on the street.

Well to be honest, most boyfriends would have thrown everything you own out and change the locks on you, not legal, but you have little to do but sue them if they do it.
Lets be honest you cheated on him and you are in his house, what do you expect him to do. I would find someone to stay with in a day or two and move as soon as you can.
