The blower isn't too difficult to replace. Make certain the problem isn't the blower module before you spend your money on the blower motor.Quote:

Let me know.
My blower motor went out on 98 deville it made a loud boom noise! I don't know where the blower motor is located and I want to replace it myself! Is it easy to do? How much does a blower cost anyway? Please advice anyone!!

The blower motor is at the rear of the engine compartment and can be difficult to access.
Here's a brief description of the steps needed for R & R:
1. Remove two cradle bolts from front of vehicle.
2. Slightly raise vehicle to allow engine to rock forward and give access to blower motor assembly.
3. Disconnect electrical connector and cooling tube to blower assembly.
4. Remove five screws and blower assembly.
5. Replace fan motor and mounting screws.
6. Lower vehicle.
7. Install two front cradle bolts and torque to specifications.
Be aware there has been changes to the original design so the replacement won't look like the original.
Pricing for parts and labor will vary from one area to another but you probably already know that Cadillac is proud of there parts. One source listed the Front Blower Motor at just over US$500.00. Contact your local parts source for your exact price.
