    What is the law and how do I go about marrying my girlfriend from canada.I live in North Dakota in the U.s... She is visiting and we want to get married... HELP!!

    You get a marriage license, take the proof of age and identity that they require, and you get married - that's how it works.

    If one of you is talking about moving to the other person's country of residence, well, that's another question.

    Yes, you merely get a marriage license and have a pastor or judge marry you. Now that does not give either of you legal status to live in either country, for that you will have to apply for the correct visas.
