Getting custody of my little sister
My Ex step father (my sister's dad) and our mother are divorced. Her dad is not supporting her well being..she's in serious need of medical attention among many other problems. She's not getting treatment, support, clothing, food, etc. like she should be. My brother and sister in law as well as myself are talking about one of us trying to get custody of her so that she would be taken care of in 'all' ways...our mother does not want to take responsibility and her father is not doing his fatherly duties...what should we do.. how and when..please if any one knows anything about this..let me know. Thanks

    concerned older sister...

Which parent has custody? If your mother has custody, she may give you some type of writing/authorization to keep your sister and provide for her medical treatment, etc. Also, you might contact someone in your local family services department, family counselor, or pastor.
