I work at a hospital and used the hospitals computer to look up the e-mail address of another employee under the persons medical record. Is that a HIPAA violation? I didn't see any "medical" information so I wasn't sure.

It's most likely not a HIPPA violation, but it is an invasion of privacy, and you may be in trouble on that account.

Yes, not Hippa but most likely several other hospital rules, in many cases this is enough to get you fired.
