    California school district
I have a 16 year old son that is living with his aunt in another city. He has been doing great since he has moved out of the house but now the school district wants to verifiy his residence. My husband lived with him last year but he wants to move back home. What can I do so he can stay in the schoold district.

If he is living with the aunt, within the school district, then he just needs to give that as his residential address.

You may need to get some type of guardianship in place for the aunt to make it legal.

I would hope that the boy's aunt would be willing to allow him to stay there and provide that as his address. I wasn't clear as to who wanted to move back home with you. The boy or his father. The situation should be entirely what is in the best interests of the boy at this time. Teen years are when they start getting into the most trouble. Good luck
