I want to frost the glass on an outdoor light fixture that is mounted on the wall of my porch. The glass is clear and you can see the light bulb. I am hoping to camouflage the light bulb during the day and thought frosting the glass would help.
Unsure what product to use that harsh sunlight will not cause to peel off and at the same time will light show through at night.

Rustoleum makes a Frosted Glass spray. Not sure how it performs on a light fixture where there will be heat.

I looked up glass etching online. Apparently craft and hobby shops sell some chemical known as etching crème that you just paint on and then wash off. I can remember doing this in a high school shop class. But Amricca's idea sounds better because it's reversible if you mess the job up on the first try just use paint remover and retry.

Depending on how easy it is, have your local glass shop cut some frosted glass so you can replace the existing panels.

Why don't you have the glasss shot blasted try a stove enameling company as they often treat products by shot blasting before painting

Try an opaque lens in the fixture. Most lamp shops can help you with this.
