Hi my partner and I have been trying for baby number 3 and I am now 5 days late with my period I have done a home test and the line was very faint so I waited another day again line very faint so I decided to use a different brand today 5 days late I have a negative result. I have no other symptoms just tired but I did not suffer win my other two pregnancies either. What the best thing to do I just want to know.

When you are testing, are you using first morning urine? That is important as it contains the highest concentration of pregnancy hormone called hCG.

Also, have you been under a lot of stress recently? Gained or lost a good deal of weight?

There are many things that can factor in to a late period. Sometimes we just have them for no explained reasons.

You should wait another week. If your period does not start, test again. If you get another negative test, make an appointment with your doctor for a blood test. In the meantime, treat yourself as if you are pregnant.
