For IPTV connection my ISP requires one SED(Smart Electronic devices), one ADSL2+ CPE Modem and one Splitter. Broadband line from ISP enters to Splitter. From Splitter one line goes to Telephone, another to Modem. From Modem, one line goes to Computer and another to TV via SED. What is ADSL2+ CPE Modem? I want to know more on CPE. Is this equivalent to any D-Link modem which has HPNA port. What is the port (of modem) used to get the connection for IPTV's SED requires?

ADSL2+ is a new DSL service that offers up to 25Mbs speeds. It depends on the distance from the provider. It appears that IPTV needs to be an end-to-end solution in order for the provider to guarantee enough bandwidth and quality to endure that you are getting the quality of service required for either SDTV or HDTV equivalent throughput.

IPTV works on a standard IP based network and can be accessed by your home computers or DVR's. The DVR and home computer are likely the only accessories that will not be provided by the IPTV retailer. The following article about IPTV is very enlightening.
