    Bounced Check
Hey, I just got off the phone with a pseudo-friend because she called crying that she has a warrant out for her arrest. The reason is that she bounced a $102 check at k-mart and after they notified her and she still hadn't paid turned it over to their local lawyer and she had until yesterday to pay like $368 I think (including the check and other fees associated with it). When she didn't pay by the end of yesterday's business hours they had a judge issue a warrant this morning. I was just wondering if that is the type of warrant that they will actively look for the person or if it's one of those that the person has to screw up (like get pulled over for speeding) before they act on it.

Oh by the way she's in Indiana. I know better than not to put that in my question.

Depends on the court, some have officers, it is fairly easy since they often know, where they live. The bail is normally cash and usually happens to be the total check amount due plus court costs.

It will not go away, and of course on the way to someone's party, or in some emergany is not a good time to find out you are going to jail.
They need to go take care of it,
