    Wire size for a sub-panel?
I have a 100 AMP main Service panel in my residence and plan on doing some kitchen remodeling. What size breaker would normally be used in a 100 AMP Panel to feed a sub-panel. Additionally, what size wire would feed the sub-panel from this breaker. I am think a 50 AMP breaker and # 8 wire to feed. Correct? Thanks, Pag

If you plan to use NM cable then your will need #6 for 50 or 60 amps. #8NM cable is only good to 40A.
