Changing a deck mount tub faucet
I am changing our chrome deck mount faucet on our tub to an antique bronze one. However, we have a tub skirt that is not easily removed, unless I want to redo some trim and sheetrock work. Since I am not replacing it with the same brand, is there some kind of adapter I can use?

I don't understand. Why should the tub apron have to be removed to change out a valve that should be able to be reached through the tub access panel?

Please explain? Adapt to what? What am I missing here? To replace a tub faucet you simply unhook the old one and replace it with the new. Now, I want you to explain to me, in detail, why you just can't do that? Regards, Tom

There is no access panel. Walls on two sides, and shower half wall on the other. I have removed the moen handles, however, the price pfister handles do not match the teeth to turn the valve.

Whoa! Not so fast. What is it you wish to accomplish? To replace the entire valve or just the handles? I am missing something here. What is it? If you can 't gve to the valve any other way then perhaps installing a access panel might be the only way Reagrds, Tom
