Live in HI, married in BC-she never came to US
I had a relationship with a woman from British Columbia. She went home for a visit and they wouldn't let her re-enter the US because she overstayed her visa. We continued the relationship long-distance and decided to marry so we could be together here in the US [Hawaii]. We married in October and she still hasn't moved here. I've been to British Columbia to see her, but she says she doesn't want to be married and won't move to Hawaii.

I would like to file for divorce. We haven't lived together and we don't share any finances. What is the most quick, easiest way to divorce? We married in British Columbia.

Is a tribal divorce recognized in Canada? Can I file in Hawaii? Or do I need to go through Canada?

    Mahalo!

As far as I know, whichever Gov't issued the license must annul it. You may be able to file with the Gov't which issued your marriage license at the same office. The Tribal divorce issue, may depend on a reciprocating treaty between the U.S. and Canada, if one exists.
