My Maytag dryer won't cut off in timer mode or sensor mode. We replaced the timer and that didn't help. What else could it be?

Could be a small contactor stuck in the on position. Maybe.Quote:

- what model is this dryer? From what year ?
- did the problem appear suddenly or develop slowly over time ?
- if not in timer or sensor mode, when does the dryer switch off?
- did you check if the timer is actually powered, i.e. is running?
- do you have a multi meter or volt meter to do some checks?
- are you prepared and capable to do some electric measurements ?
:)
