My landlord house was sold in foreclosure a month after we moved in and we were'nt warned. Now the new owner want another security deposit. Do we have to pay two security deposits on the same property, not even six months later?:confused:

That should have been worked out between the new owner and the old one.
You need to contact your old owner and see what's up.

Not on a foreclosure, the new owner bought it from the bank, So they can just evict you if they want to, they don't even have to honor any rental agreement, But yes, you have to pay them another deposit,

You then can sue the old landlord for a return of your deposit.

If the new buyer bought it from the old owner directly, then the deposit is transferred but not in a foreclosure.

I'm reading too fast again I wasn't thinking foreclosure doesn't deal with owner to owner.
Still need to contact the old owner and get your other deposit back
