Harbor Breeze remote not woking for light
I bought a house with a harbor breeze fan with an LCD remote. It's worked fine for one year.
Just today(6/23/08) I replaced the light bulb. After changing the light, when I turned the light on using wall switch, there was spark. The light is working now. But - the remote stopped working for the lights. However, it still works fine for the fan. But I can turn the light on or Off with wall switch.

The remote only controls the fan. When I press the light button on the remote, the LCD displays the numbers, but seems like the receiver is not receiving the control for the light.

Any help with fixing this remote issue would be appreciated. Manufacture Item#187541

    Thank you!

Sounds like something shorted in the receiver. You may have to replace it. Contact Harbor Breeze, their number is in our sticky.

Keep in mind, it is possible there are things you can try to fix it, like changing the frequency of both the fan and remote. BUT I think it is 90% likely the receiver will need replacing.
