    Wall controller wiring Harbor Breeze
I have 2 switches, the first one controlling the fan light and the second the fan motor. How would I wire a Harbor Breeze Wall controller(2Black and 1Ground wires) to contol the fan. The receiver and the hand-remote are working the issue is only with wiring the wall controller.
The existing wiring at the switches is

    White wires capped together
    Grounds capped together
Black wire from cable1 to Fan Motor switch and follows to Fan light switch
Black wire from cable2 to Fan Motor switch
Red wire from cable 2 to Fan light switch

    Thanks for any help

Ok, in order to install the receiver at the fan, you would have had to change the wiring at the fan.

Does the remote control the fan, the light, or both?

Which switch now controls the fan and light together?

The remote controls both the fan and light.

The Fan Motor switch has to be on for the remote to work.

I did the install of the receiver which is part of the harbor breeze kit(receiver, remote, wall controller)

Ok, you can't use both wall switches. Try this:

Wire the control between the two black wires and cap off the red.

In the ceiling, make sure the receiver is connected to the black wire from the ceiling and that all wires from the fan are also connected to the appropriate wires from the receiver.

The light switch will then become defunct.
