I highlighted my dark blonde hair and now I have dark roots and I hate it and want my natural color back. How do I go back to my natural color back? :confused:

Go get a box of dye as close to your natural color as you can find, and dye your hair that color. Your dark roots won't be so noticeable as they grow back in and before you know it, all your hair will be your own color!

Be glad you didn't dye your hair black! Going back to light-brown after that was a tuffy!

I am A stylist... be careful because if you get the wrong color it can really leave a funky color on those highlights... It will fade quickly because the blonde won't grab the color well.. Go to you local beauty supply store and ask them to help you choose a demi permanent color close to your natural with a neutral base... some colors have a green base that will really grab on the lighter hair and you don't want that... DEMI PERMANENT will not damage you hair further... and you just don't know what you are getting from the boxed colors at walmart
