My dauhgter and son in law gave notice that they would be out on June 23rd. The landlord let someone move in on June 22nd , had the locks changed and the utilities were still in our daughter's name. She was getting double rent etc. we hadn't even cleaned and the landlord kept calling bugging us about this. Is there anything we can legally do?

You want to sue the landlord for one day's rent? If they don't return your deposit you could sue because they didn't allow you to clean up.

1. Did you get all of your property out ?
2. has landlord returned your full deposiit ?

You can sue him for locking you out and for one days rental. Were you paid in full for the month you were moving ? Had you given a full 30 day notice ?
