    GRANTS for felons
I'm a 23 year old women who made a few wrong decisions in the past that lead me to incarceration . I have been released one year and still haven't found a job with my "HONEST" resume. My question is can felons get Grants to go back to School!! I guess that's my only option.

There are normally no individual grants directly to people who are felons. There are often job training programs, and trianing schools that have funding but this will vary by area and normally done though non profit groups. But you should be able to put in for the same funding and loans as anyone else.

Yes you can get grants and student loans for going back to school. My sister in law is a convicted felon and went back to college. She got financial aid that paid for all of her schooling plus they gave her student loans twice a year if she chose to take them that doesn't have to be paid back until graduation. (That's when you begin paying them back)
As long as your crime is not drug charges these are some options.

I think you're confusing grants and loans - grants don't have to be paid back. Loans do.

This question is posted frequently - what State is your sister in law in?
