    Laminate Flooring
Hello All, We had water problems in our basement and need to put down a new floor.
We would like to put down a laminate floor but am concerned because the temperature
During the winter months gets down to about 50 degrees will this cause problems with
    A laminate floor?

I don't think the temp will give near as much trouble as the changes in humidity what's the humidity like in the winter/summer? Is the area climate controlled at all?

I have not installed a laminate floor but I read up on them because I was considering doing some. An installation guide I looked at recommends laminate only on different types of sub-floors but only above-grade concrete, and even then only with an acceptable moisture test performed.
Aren't future water problems a possibility?
Also I agree with act101, humidity will likely cause problems.
Would ceramic tile be an option?
