    He Says It's His Friends.
Ok... so I have recently been seeing someone and we really hit it off on the first night. Neither one of us were even expecting to get along so well, but we did. We decided to spend more time together to see where it could go.
The first night we hung out, we spent 4 hours talking. It was great. Barely any silent moments, none of which were awkward.
Then 8 hours, then 11 hours... We were enjoying spending time together.

He told me how much he enjoyed being with me and that he never thought we would get along so well. Said he had wished we had met earlier. Told me that I was amazing. That he liked just about everything about me.

The thing is, that I am pregnant. And he knew this from the beginning. I am 6 1/2 months along. Things with the father didn't work out and though I wasn't looking for anyone to date, things happen. He was completely understanding because he has a son that is only 3 months old. Things didn't work out with them either.

Well, after spending great quality time together, he tells me that he doesn't want to pursue anything with me because (brace yourself)... His friends find it socially unacceptable for him to be dating a pregnant woman.

So, we are no longer seeing each other. We actually didn't talk for a while, and started talking casually again.

He wants to still hang out from time to time, but I don't know what to even think about this whole situation.

Please let me know what you think. It will be greatly appreciated.

Well, I know this is simplistic, but he did break it off with you because of this, so next time he calls to "hang out", tell him you'll have to check with your friends to make sure it will be OK. Call him back later and tell him you can't, your friends don't approve of you hanging out with men with no spine. Plus, you're still pregnant, so his friends will be glad to know your friends don't like him either.

    What a dweeb.

Thanks... Another thing... Should I continue talking to him? He is acting like nothing ever happened and randomly started talking to me again.

Do I keep him around as a friend?

Tell him that if it is socially unacceptable to be dating a pregnant woman it would make sense that it would be even more sociably unacceptable to just hang out with one.
Ask him to ask his friends if there is a sociably acceptable time for you two to start hanging out again. Ask him to ask his friends if they think it would be okay to get in a serious relationship with a girl that has a baby.
He needs to not worry what his friends and others think.

I would be totally insulted by this fellow, if I were you. Don't be that desperate for attention, you settle for anything.
