I am wanting to know... I know someone who has stolen 3 four wheelers and a dirt bike. They charged him with four grand theft autos and 4 braking and entering. That's felony four and felony five. It is his first time ever getting in trouble. He has just turned 18. Can you tell me what it is that he most likely will get.

There aree a few things to consider. Is this his first offence? What admissions if any did he make to the police? What is the evidence for the offences? If it is a first offence then it is highly unlikely that he will go to jail. The law does provide for a stupid, first time mistake. But this whole incident is a BIG warning that something in this person's life isn't on track for a happy ending. So he should be grateful for that warning, be honest about what happened and start thinking about how he can change his life, once this incident is concluded.

His best bet if the evidence is dead solid, upon advice of an attorney to work out a plea agreement, not end up being sentenced after a trial if he loses. Possible sentence, years and years, most likely 10 year with 5 to serve before parole.
