I can't seem to figure out how to get it off. It appears to not have a capo on the front, but is solid. I cannot see aby allen scres along the side either

Peter... do you have a manufacturer's name on the shower valve.. Any identifying marks..? I will see if I can find a specification sheet for your valve if you can get me a name.
All handles that I know of use either the allen screw OR have a cap at the end that must be pried up and off to access the screw..?
Let us know what you can!
Mark
Peter, post either photo of the valve trim or Brand, Model of your shower faucet.
I figured it out. The front cover is a large solid chrome disk that is slightly raised from the body of the knob by about 1/8", and it screwed off (American Standard, I think). I then completed my repairs and replaced the handle. Thanks for your help.Quote:
