I have a John Deere Hydro 175 Lawn Mower riding lawn mower. Just replaced the battery about a month ago, but now the engine won't crank at all. Will start if I jump it from the car, but won't keep running. If I try to engage the blades, it poops out. Any suggestions.

Sounds like a dead short somewhere could be the beginning of the problem.
Then again, the battery could be bad.

I've had problems with my 175 for 14 years. Finally a dealer made a direct line from battery to Sparkplug?? And it worked. I notice the line is gone (must have fallen off last time I mowed) and now it won't start at all. Ugh
