This is Yashodha. I have a concern regarding the employment opportunity in US for F2.
But first of all, would like to appreciate your site. This is one of the best sites I have visited.

I have F2 visa, Done my Engineering in ComputerScience. Have a total of 7 years experience in ComputerScience. Had worked in companies like GE prior to this. I wonder if I could apply for jobs here.Also would my resume be considered as my visa is F2 .:confused:

Would be great if you could provide me some guidance as to how to proceed further.

F2 is not intended for employment purposes. But you can always apply for jobs and find an employer willing to sponsor your H1B.

But the problem - quota opens up in April; but you can only start working from October. Many employers want someone who can start right away
